As we wrap up the second quarter of 2026, I’d like to thank our clients, attorneys, property owners, lenders, and industry partners for your continued trust in Simonson Appraisals. It has been another busy quarter filled with meaningful growth, exciting projects, and continued investment in our team.
Strengthening Our Commitment to Clients
In April, our team held our second full-day EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) planning session. During the meeting, we refined our Core Values, strengthened our Core Focus, and continued building the systems and processes intended to help us deliver a higher level of service to our clients.
Personally, I remain committed to investing in leadership development and professional growth. I will be attending a two-day leadership conference in September, followed by a two-day real estate tax property summit hosted by a private client. My belief has always been that improving as a leader ultimately improves the experience and results we provide to every client we serve.
Expanding Our Geographic Coverage
We’re excited to announce that Simonson Appraisals has expanded our appraisal coverage into Montana.
With appraisers now located in both Billings and Kalispell, we are able to provide commercial appraisal services throughout:
- Minnesota
- Wisconsin
- North Dakota
- Montana
This expansion allows us to better serve regional clients with multi-state portfolios while continuing to provide local market knowledge and responsive service.
Noteworthy Assignments
The second quarter included a wide variety of complex valuation assignments, including:
- Completion of several portfolio property tax appeal projects for existing national big-box retail clients.
- Leasehold interest valuation of an ice hockey arena.
- Portfolio valuation of several auto dealerships and truck repair centers.
- Ongoing litigation support and expert valuation services involving complex commercial real estate matters.
- Continued work involving tax appeal, estate, financing, and consulting assignments across our four-state service area.
We continue to see growing demand for experienced valuation professionals capable of handling complex assignments requiring thoughtful analysis, strong market research, and well-supported appraisal opinions. It’s the essence of what we do at Simonson Appraisals.
Team Update
We’re pleased to welcome another milestone within our growing team. Our MAI-designated appraiser Nate Downing, MAI, AI-GRS based in Billings, Montana, has transitioned from a part-time role into a full-time position, further strengthening our ability to serve clients throughout Montana and the surrounding region.
Thank You
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you. We appreciate the confidence our clients place in our work and look forward to continuing to provide independent, credible commercial real estate valuation services throughout the Upper Midwest.
If we can assist with an upcoming appraisal, litigation matter, property tax appeal, estate valuation, or consulting assignment, we’d welcome the opportunity to visit with you.
Have a wonderful summer!
